The Walking Dead murder-train is once again rolling toward a finale, and even as Season 7 lacks the promise of a specific death, casualties are bound to arise once open war with Negan breaks out. Our first synopses for the final three episodes of the season have arrived, promising a “heartbreaking decision” and a “more expansive” finale.

AMC released the final three synopses after this coming Sunday’s “Bury Me Here” (h/t SpoilerTV), the first of which might be bad news for Daryl if indeed he returns to the Hilltop. We’d guess that the second refers to a return to Oceanside, while the third might finally bring that “All Out War” we’ve been hoping for:

Episode 7.14 - The Other Side

The Saviors visit the Hilltop unexpectedly, surprising everyone, with plans of taking more than supplies.

Episode 7.15 - Something They Need

A group of Alexandrians embarks on a journey; one member of the group must make a heartbreaking decision.

Episode 7.16 - The First Day of the Rest of Your Life

The stakes continue to grow higher as paths cross; the group enacts an intricate plan.

Meanwhile, TVLine spoke about the finale with showrunner Scott Gimple, who promised both “losses” on all sides, and a more expanded scope than we’re used to:

This very claustrophobic descent into darkness, this season finale is more expansive — in tone and location and characters.

[Season 6’s finale] was the noose tightening and things getting darker and darker. This season’s finale has darkness and light, real horrific moments, betrayal, and real moments of beauty, redemption, love and friendship. It’s sort of the panoply of human and Walking Dead experience.

In the meantime, check out a clip from this coming Sunday’s “Bury Me Here” below, and stay tuned for more on the final Walking Dead Season 7 hours.
