Texas Towns With Quirky Names Will Surprise You

Texas has some very unique names for towns and cities and some of them sound made up. Even right here in our backyard we have a place called Arneckeville. Right up the road is a town called Sweet Home. However, my personal favorite is Cut and Shoot, Texas.

Some Texas towns are even hard to say.

Not only, do we have some made up Texas town, we also have many that are hard to pronounce, if you are not from Texas. We also have two within 45 minutes of Victoria.  Refugio is one, most people called it "Ref-fur-rio" but the only "r" is the first letter. We're not sure where people are getting the second "r" from when they pronounce it.
