Another huge drug bust has occurred at the Texas/Mexico border.  However, this bust was made by the Texas Department of Public Safety and not U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The bust was made at the Rio Grande Port of Entry.

Huge seizure:

Almost $7 million worth of cocaine was found inside of a tractor trailer of a semitruck attempting to cross into the U.S. on Thursday, March 6, at a port of entry in the Rio Grande Valley. After the vehicle was sent to secondary inspection, authorities found 150 plastic-wrapped bundles of cocaine concealed in the vehicle’s cargo area. Total weight was 500 pounds with a street value of $6.8 million, according to a report by My San Antonio. 

Who was the driver? 

The driver of the truck was Mario Robledo, a 33-year old Mexican National. He was charges with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Hidalgo County Jail in Edinburg.
