A recent report from the Victoria Police Department shows that vehicle burglaries are on the rise. In fact, during the first three and a half weeks in Victoria. There was a total of 21 car burglaries reported.. Of the 21 vehicles, FIFTEEN were left unlocked!

Here are some tips to make sure you don't become a victim.

  • Always double check your locks before you walk away
  • Take all your valuable items with you
  • Take a picture or note your items before you leave the vehicle
  • Never leave your keys inside the car while unattended

Thieves often lurk around bank parking lots, especially during the Christmas season. They are looking for the perfect opportunity to take your money.

If you are heading inside the bank lobby to withdraw money. Make sure you money is well hidden before you walk out the front door. Avoid exposing the envelopes the the tellers put the money in or exposing cash in your hand.
