THROWBACK THURSDAY: Furr’s Was The Spot in Victoria
As always, it's fun to take a look back at the good old days in Victoria. Here is a place that is truly missed in this town, Furr's Cafeteria. I don't know why, but this place just hit differently.
The Furr's experience was different.
Not just the food, but the salad lady who always met you with a smile, she was a part of the Furr's experience. I also remember going up to that little window to order seconds and thirds. Unpopular opinion: I actually miss Furr's more than I miss Luby's.

It was a sad day when I learned that Furr's would be closing. I was even sadder when I saw it was being demolished. I was so sad that I had to take a picture. Furr's closed in Victoria in July of 2012. Peter Piper Pizza opened in February of 2013 and is still in operation today.

What you can't see in the above picture, is Cactus Canyon, which was behind Furr's. It's another place we miss. Cactus Canyon closed its doors in 2018 and is now a place where you can donate plasma.
