We know that there are people doing bad things in just about every profession across Texas, but when you hear about a teacher having serious child pornography charges it normally causes quite the reaction.

According to KXAN, recently there was a fifth-grade teacher in south Austin by the name of Carl Innmon and on March 11th the Texas Department of Public Safety reached out to the Austin Independent School District to let them know that Innmon was being investigated for possession of child pornography.

That is a first-degree felony in the state of Texas.

New Police Documents Show There is More Going On

There were new police reports filed on March 14th showing the teacher from Baranoff Elementary School is now facing additional charges which include possession of child pornography with intent to promote (a second-degree felony), and possession or promotion of lewd material depicting a child (a state jail felony).

This was Innmon’s first year at the elementary school and was placed on administrative leave as soon as the district heard about the investigation from Texas DPS.

Innmon Had a Huge Collection of Abuse Images

Police investigated Innmon’s electronic devices and found that he had more than 365,000 images of child abuse.

Some were AI-generated images of two students from the school he was employed by. He was using an AI generator to alter the photos, making them sexual in nature.

Innmon was taken into custody at the Travis County Jail on March 14th and he was released on bond on March 16th.

His bond conditions include having no contact with minors, he is also required to stay away from the internet.
