Melt-in-Your-Mouth Ribs Are Making Their Way to Red Dirt Fest
When life throws curveballs, some folks catch them with tongs and throw a rack of ribs on the smoker. That’s exactly what Clay, the mastermind behind Zeke’s Craft BBQ, did.
HURRICANE IKE HALTS CULINARY JOURNEY
His culinary journey didn’t start with barbecue—far from it. After 25 years in the restaurant industry and stints in prestigious kitchens from Italy to France, Clay opened a prime steakhouse in 2007. But when Hurricane Ike hit, the restaurant was lost, leaving Clay and his family to start over.
Clay shifted gears, working in the oilfields, but the love of cooking tugged at him. That passion resurfaced through BBQ competitions, and with his wife Sara by his side, they decided to take the plunge for his 50th birthday—Zeke’s Craft BBQ was born.
FOOD=LOVE LANGUAGE
Now, Zeke’s is quickly making a name for itself with its killer ribs and the fan-favorite "Sara Special." But what truly sets Zeke’s apart? Clay says it's simple: food is their love language. They don’t just serve BBQ—they create joy with every bite.
Catch Zeke’s Craft BBQ at the Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival and experience the magic for yourself. Whether it's those melt-in-your-mouth ribs or the Southern-inspired flavors Clay has mastered, one thing is certain—you’re in for an unforgettable meal.
