This Saturday You Can Fish Without a License

Texas State Parks host a year round program called 'Free Fishing in State Parks.' What a a great way to spend a weekend with your family. If you are going to a state park, you will have to pay the park entry fee, but that is it.  Just bring your family, friends, some bait and your fishing pole and enjoy a day of fishing.

GOOD NEWS! Free fishing for this Saturday, June 6th also applies to ANY public waterbody in the state without a fishing license.  Fishing in rivers and creeks, from bank or pier. You can also wade fish in the surf along the shore of our coastal state parks. You may be able to fish for free from a boat on lakes or ponds that are fully enclosed in a state park..
