4-Year-Old Orders $2600 Worth of Tasty Popsicles Via Amazon
Growing up in the digital age comes with all kinds of fun little quirks. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, it was much harder to make an impulse purchase for an item and to pass the charges along to your parents. While I never got ahold of their wallets or credit cards, a bunch of friends and I may have tried to call and order a couple of the original pay-per-view boxing or wrestling matches back in the day. It was way too easy to call them up and charge by phone. Sadly I can't even remember who won.
Fast forward to 2021 and kids can get into all kinds of trouble by simply picking up their parent's phone or tablet. Take the case of one young man from Brooklyn, New York, who managed to charge $2600 worth of Spongebob Squarepants popsicles to his mother's Amazon account. Oh dear lord, yes I said Amazon which means a "No Return Policy".
How much does 918 Spongebob Popscicles cost?
Several outlets including KHOU have shared videos of a now-famous 4-year-old who somehow unlocked his mother's Amazon account and decided to stock up for summer. Everyone on the news is suggesting people stock up and stay prepared during these uncertain times so I guess the little man was making sure there would be enough supplies for the dog days of summer. The total cost was close to $2600 bucks. That's 50 some cases of popsicles.
Jennifer Bryant said her son Noah managed to order the popsicles from Amazon, but in order to keep his mom out of the loop, he somehow was smart enough to have the order sent to his Aunties house. Mom still got the bill through. Click on her name to see her original photo of Noah standing on top of a few gigantic boxes that we assume contain his order of over 900 popsicles.
Help Noah's Mom Pay for the Spongebob Popsicles
The good people of the internet have found a soft spot in their hearts for Jennifer's predicament, and have responded to her GOFundMe The family needed about $2600 to pay off the soggy bottom desserts, but they have found they have received far more. The Gofundme sits at $11,000. Noah is a child living with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and his Mom says the money will be used for his education. We hope Jennifer has a very happy Mother's Day.
