AJ Castillo Drops New Cumbia Vibe ‘¡Abre, Abre! Featuring Los Morales
AJ Castillo continues to do things his way, and I love it! His music continues to evolve and continues to gain the ear of the younger generation. The new single "¡Abre, Abre!" has that cumbia sound that the young will be bumping and features the high energy cumbia group, Los Morales. The new single is absolute fire and has gone straight to heavy rotation on KLUB Tejano 106.9.
The new single was recorded at AJ Castillo's own Redwood Studios in San Marcos, Texas. Maybe, KLUB Tejano can get an up close view and tour of the studios? We will be chatting with AJ soon on KLUB Tejano 106.9.

AJ Castillo continues to keep his vibe fresh and exciting.
AJ is one of the most versatile Tejano performers out there.
While the new stuff is innovative, what got him here is the traditional Tejano and Conjunto Sound. Just listen to his first album "Who I Am' which is underappreciated, in my opinion. You have some hard-hitting Tejano rancheras and even a polka. However, he also let everyone know what his real style was with his cumbia vibe, which was also introduced on that album.
A few years ago, AJ Castillo went full Conjunto mode and dropped some hard-hitting jams. Including the smash hit "Te Recomiendo Esa Ingrata," a collaboration with the legendary Juan P. Moreno.
I appreciate what AJ is doing for our industry, which is catering to our next generation while staying true to his roots. No matter what your Tejano vibe is, chances are, AJ will perform it at a live show.
