Listen All Y’All, It’s a First Look at Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘Sabotage’
Arnold Schwarzenegger has yet to star in a breakout hit since stepping down as governor of California. 'The Last Stand' and 'Escape Plan' were mostly disappointments, but Arnold has his best chance of success coming up with the action-thriller 'Sabotage' (formerly known as 'The Ten'). In fact, Arnold compares this movie to one of his best ever - 'Predator.' Get a first look at 'Sabotage' with a set of new photos below.
'Sabotage' has a lot of things going for it, including director David Ayer (who directed the surprisingly effective Jake Gyllenhaal cop drama 'End of Watch'), a supporting cast that includes Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello and Mireille Enos, and, best of all, a classic Schwarzenegger movie character name: John "Breacher" Wharton.
The film follows a DEA agent who finds members of his team being picked off one-by-one, 'Ten Little Indians' style.
Unlike most of Schwarzenegger's recent films, 'Sabotage' is striving for complete realism, so you won't see any 'Expendables' style quips here. Despite being a veteran when it comes to action movies, Arnold spent weeks with actual DEA agents, learning their specific tactical maneuvers and weaponry. He even got that insane haircut he completely hates. Arnold told USA Today, "It's the most stupid haircut I have ever had. Look at the way I look! I don't know if I'm a conservative DEA officer or one of the Three Stooges."
'Sabotage' opens in theaters on April 18 and you can get a first look at the film below.
