Dallas Cowboys Roll Over NY Giants 35-17 in Season Opener
The big news story for the Dallas Cowboys all last week was whether or not Ezekiel Elliott would be signed in time for him to play the season opener against the New York Giants yesterday. Well, that question was answered and he was on the field, but it was the arm of Dak Prescott that powered the Cowboys offense to dominate the Giants 35-17.
Prescott matched his career-high outing by throwing 4 touchdowns in a 405 yard performance as Dallas gained 494 yards in total yardage. Prescott was 25 of 32 on the day with no interceptions. Running back Ezekiel Elliott did rush for 53 yards on 13 carries and also scored a TD in the 3rd quarter.
Next Sunday, the Cowboys travel to Washington to take on division rivals the Redskins who lost a close one to the Piladelphia Eagles yesterday.
