David and Jaime DeAnda Reunite In The Studio
Here is a blast from the past! Cousins Jaime DeAnda and David DeAnda have just reunited in the studio.
In a post recently shared by David, he shares a picture of Jaime, David alongside some top-notch musicians. In the next couple of weeks, we will know exactly what song will be released.
This track features monster musicians in the Tejano industry.
Also joining the latest recording is Ruben Mendoza, who was the drummer with Jaime Y Los Chamacos for 25 years. So, you know he knows how to keep that Conjunto groove going. Ruben currently plays drums with the 181 Boyz.
They also added Mr. Mike Torres on bass to hold the groove down. Mike is the lead singer of the Tejano/Chicano band LA 45 - who in my opinion is one of the most underrated groups of our time.
A fresh spin on a classic song.
Jaime and David have just re-recorded one of their tracks from the 80s with a modern spin. What does this mean for Jaime DeAnda's musical journey? We shall soon find out.
@jaimeyloschamacos79 What a moment in the studio with my cousin David DeAnda, playing my dad’s legendary Macias Bajo Sexto. Just hearing us lay down a classic and original track it was pure magic. Big thanks to Ruben Mendoza for crafting those puro beats with that old-school timing we grew up on. And shoutout to Mike Torres from Nex/Gen Latin X Records on bass, he brought the runs that took me straight back to the days of my nephew Ruben DeAnda Martinez. Get ready for the upcoming single from Los Chamacos de Raul DeAnda, a throwback to the 80s, where The New Generation Conjunto first lit the spark. To all my OG Chamacos fans, this one’s for you. Let me see that support loud and proud. #JaimeDeAnda#DavidDeAnda#RubenMendoza#MikeTorres#fypシ♬ original sound - Jaime Y Los Chamacos
Jamie and David used to perform as Los Chamacos de Raul De Anda.
This takes it back to days of Los Chamacos de Raul De Anda which had Jaime and David performing together. The name of their record label at that time? Discos Diana. Talk about a throwback. Look at that album cover thanks to TikTok.
