Tejano Nation is reporting that Destiny Navaira premiered the lead single and music video from her upcoming project honoring songs written by her father Raulito Navaira. The Latin Grammy-nominated singer released “Eclipse” featuring her brother Rigo Navaira, it’s the debut from Las Letras de Mi Padre, an EP to scheduled for release in May. She also premiered the official music video to accompany this reimagined version of the Tejano classic written by her father and performed by her late uncle Emilio Navaira.

“It was so much fun recreating the video my Dad and Uncle did, it felt like we were kids again,” Destiny tells Tejano Nation.

“Eclipse” is the first of six tracks and first of four videos to be released from the upcoming project.

Fans can expect different versions of some of their favorite classics written by Raulito. Destiny commented, “I think people will be pleasantly surprised at the changes we made to the styles of the songs and how we truly challenged ourselves to give the songs my own Destiny touch.”

Destiny Navaira received a Latin Grammy nomination for her solo sophomore album, “Dime Como Se Siente” last year and won three Tejano Music Awards, including Female Artist of the Year in 2021, and Best New Female Artist in 2016, adding Best New Group with Grupo Remedio the same year.
