Dodge Announces Plans to Unleash “The Demon”

Later this year, Dodge has plans to unleash the Demon. The all new 840 horsepower Challenger SRT Demon to be exact. How bad is this car? Well if the 840 horses haven't impressed you the car is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi Demon V-8, an even hotter version of the same basic engine the powers the Dodge's 707-horsepower Hellcats. It produces 770 foot-pounds of torque, which is a lot in case you didn't know.

It can rocket from zero to 60 miles per hour in 2.3 seconds. It can go from zero to 100 mph in 5.1 seconds. The car is so powerful that it is capable of pulling its front wheels off the ground. Try that in your Honda.

The price tag isn't exactly known at this time but the head of Dodge said it would be "well under $100k"

One catch....only 3,000 will be made available in the U.S.
