Electronic Cigarettes : Exploding Danger?
One of the biggest advantages of "smoking" an Electronic cigarette, is that it's supposed to be safer than a "real" cigarette. Right?
Well, I know of a guy in Florida that would tell you they're NOT safer at all. He would tell you, that is, if his two front teeth and a chunk of his tongue weren't gone from having an E-Cigarette explode in his mouth, with the impact of a bottle-rocket!!
Along with losing his front teeth and a chunk of his tongue, he also suffered burns to his face AND the battery flew out, landed in his closet and set his house on fire!
Wow...And "smoking" is supposed to be bad for you. The poor guy was using the E-Cigarette in attempt to quit smoking. Look what that did for him! If I worked for Phillip Morris, I woud seize this story and use it to advocate smoking the "real" thing.
Sure smoking is bad for you. But it won't blow your front teeth out and take a chunk from your tongue. Not immediately with no warning anyway. Smoking takes years to eat a chunk of your face off.
I hope his tongue works well enough to say "I'd like to cash this check, maam. I'd like it in $20's, please". Because I smell a settlement check coming his way.
Thomas Kiklas, co-founder of the Tobacco Vapor Electronic Cigarette Association, said the industry knows of no problems with the cigarettes or batteries exploding.
Well, before this one anyway.
