Greta Thunberg’s UN Speech Has Been Turned Into a Badass Death Metal Song
Greta Thunberg has become a world sensation in just a few days. The Swedish teenage climate activist spoke Sept. 23 at the United Nations' Climate Action Summit in New York City, and her speech has now been turned into a badass death metal song on YouTube.
John Mollusk wrote and recorded the music and vocals for the video, and he performs her speech verbatim to overlay with the video. Some of the words from her speech, which can be heard in the video in guttural form, are, "People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!"
Climate activism certainly is metal, and several artists have taken to publicly support Thunberg's devotion to the topic, including Halestorm's Lzzy Hale and Tom DeLonge.

In August, the young activist sailed across the Atlantic Ocean from the U.K. to New York in an environmentally-friendly yacht with solar panels in hopes of encouraging the reduction of emissions into the atmosphere.
