Grupo Zenzio Breaks Attendance Record at Kemah Boardwalk

One thing that we love about the Kemah Boardwalk is that they are embracing and showcasing our Tejano culture. In fact, every Sunday night in June and July, they are featuring Tejano Music Nights, which include performances by not only Tejano acts but also Conjunto, Country, and Norteno Cumbia, which all feature Tejano influences.. This Sunday night just might have set an attendance record!

Grupo Zenzio breaks Kemah Boardwalk attendance record.

Grupo Zenzio performed at the Kemah Boardwalk this past Sunday and broke an attendance record. Jorge Flores, manager for Zeznio, tells KLUB Tejano that Kemah Boardwalk "confirms about 8,000 attended Sunday night's show." What an incredible accomplishment for a group that started playing for family events back in 2005!

Grupo Zenzio brought their high-energy show to the boardwalk. They apparently also brought all of Houston with them. The crowd was insane. One of the things most noticed in the crowd is the younger generation in attendance. The place was lit, and while Zenzio is labeled Norteno Cumbia, they has Tejano and Proud roots and are exciting our next generation.

Flores tells KLUB, he grew up on Tejano music such as Grupo Mazz and Jaime DeAnda and so did his kids. In fact, many in the group are his children and his wife takes care of all the bookings and business, a family business indeed. Continued success to Grupo Zenzio.
