Houston Woman Shot in the Head as She Slept in Murder Suicide
A woman in Houston was found dead inside her apartment, along with the suspect.
MONEY OWED
The 32-year-old Jadee Turner lived in an apartment complex in West Houston with her uncle. Turner's ex-boyfriend had recently called her uncle asking him to come outside and meet him at the apartment complex's front gate. The ex-boyfriend claimed he owed the uncle money and was there to repay him.
As the uncle made his way outside, he got to the gate and patiently waited for his niece's ex-boyfriend. However as the uncle waited outside, something much sinister was developing, just feet away.
EX-BOYFRIEND HAD OTHER PLANS
As the uncle was distracted waiting outside, the ex-boyfriend seized the opportunity and snuck inside the apartment, which was unlocked. Once inside, the man found his ex-girlfriend sleeping in her bedroom, and things took a violent turn.
TRAGIC SITUATION
Family members explained that the two had recently ended their relationship just weeks ago. According to investigators, the man shot his ex-girlfriend in the end and then turned the gun on himself.
Meanwhile, the uncle was still waiting outside by the front gate. After a few minutes of waiting the uncle returned to his apartment. Once inside he began looking for his niece to check on her. However, he walked into a heartbreaking scene.
The uncle told police that "he didn't see this coming."
Turner was shot dead, laying on the floor with a bullet in her head. The ex-boyfriend who the uncle had just minutes ago waited for outside, was on the floor in a puddle of blood.
"She liked to laugh she liked to sing, she didn't bother nobody," her family described Turner. They added, "People need to know mental illness is real and be careful."
