With Halloween just around the corner, Texas and the rest of the nation are gearing up for the spookiest day of the year, but did one Texas man go too far when decorating for the holiday?

Over the past twenty years, our family has gone through "phases" when it comes to Halloween decorating. We have four kiddos and they are all seven years apart so it ends up that we decorated for Halloween according to what level of scary our kids could handle.

How scary is too scary for your family?

Our oldest son loved horror movies so as a preteen we started going all went all out when it came to scary, even designing several haunted houses in our community during his teen years.

Have you ever been to a Haunted Halloween party in Texas?

Living out in the country we hosted Halloween parties in the pasture that even included real live actors dressing in all black and grabbing our guests in the field.

We were at THAT level of Halloween.

When the girls were little we noticed some of the bigger Halloween decorations in our garage storage freaked them out so we had to cover them up and needless to say Halloween parties in the pastures were a no-go for them.

How Scary is too Scary for Halloween?

Now they are all grown up and I'm just waiting to see what level the grandkids can handle this year! Right now with all girls under the age of ten, Jack O Lanterns is where it ends. For now.

But this guy? This guy kept having the cops called on him!

Steve Novak lives in Dallas Texas and used several gallons of fake blood to create this horrific scene. A scene so scary yet plausible, that Texans could not be sure if it was real or not.
