Texas Mother Shoots 3-Year Old Son Then Kills Herself
Disturbing details have been released about the murder-suicide of a mother and her young son who were found dead in a ditch at a park in San Antonio, Texas.
POLICE ENGAGE IN A WELFARE CHECK
Savannah Kriger disappeared on the evening of March 17th. Unable to contact Kriger by phone, a welfare check was requested which led deputies to Kriger's home. however, Kriger could not be located.
Deputies continued searching for Kriger when they came across her abandoned car in Tom Slick Park on the West Side of San Antonio. Park police made a startling discovery shortly after police located the vehicle.
BODIES OF MOM AND SON FOUND IN DITCH
Savannah Kriger and her 3-year-old son Kaiden were found in a ditch, deceased. Recently, officials have confirmed the cause of death. Kaiden died from a gunshot wound to the head and Savannah's death was ruled a suicide.
According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, Savanna Kriger was going through a custody dispute with Kaiden's father and evidence suggests Savannah left work early to pick up Kaiden from daycare, which was their last known sighting of the pair.
DISTURBING DETAILS REVEALED
Disturbing details reveal what possibly happened in the last moments before the crime. According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, Savannah's call history log shows an unsuccessful attempt to Facetime her ex-husband.
- She sends her last text message to him, saying "Say goodbye to your son."
- Savannah then records a 21-second video found on her phone, where they appear to be at the drainage ditch where their bodies are located.
- She then instructs Kaiden to say goodbye to his daddy, which he does. She then apologizes to Kaiden that his daddy can not be here with him and kisses him.
