Did You Know Juan P Moreno Played With David Lee Garza?

As always, Bumpers Wacky Wednesdays is always teaching Tejano fans something!

Let me start out by saying if you are a hardcore Juan P Moreno fan, you already know this. If you are a casual fan, you might not! Juan P Moreno performed with David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales for around two years during the tour for the album "Con El Tiempo."

Juan P had just left Los Chamacos after playing with them for 7 years. He started playing with Los Chamacos at the age of 18, and this is where Tejano fans learned just how good Juan P was on Bajo Sexto. Jaime, Juan P, Chato, and Manuel made some magical music as Jaime Y Los Chamacos, who recorded with Freddie Records at the time.

As for Juan P's  time with David Lee Garza, he was the bajo player before Mr. Billy O'Rourke joined in the band, and the rest is history. Billy's arrival to DLG brought us the album 1392, which is DLG's best album of all-time and arguably one of the best Tejano albums of all-time.
