A very special moment happened over the weekend in Laredo, Texas, during the 63rd annual Laredo Fair. The lineup featured Costumbre, Los Palominos, and La Mafia. The moment occurred during Los Palominos' set.
Oscar came on stage and sang the iconic song "Ya No Existe" with Los Palominos. This is something that very rarely happens. What a moment of Tejano music history.

'Ya No Existe' was one of the biggest Tejano collaborations of the 90s.

This single was included on the Los Palominos album entitled "El Ganador' which is one of their best albums to date. In my opinion, it has one of their biggest hits of all time, "La Llama."  I remember seeing Los Palominos perform this live at the Sun Valley Ranch in Victoria.

There was another collaboration with another huge Tejano star on 'El Ganador.'

Los Palominos also had a collaboration with the legendary Little Joe on this album. It was a remake of Little Joe's timeless hit, "Las Nubes.' This is a fantastic album, and yes, I still have the original CD in my personal collection.

Los Palominos released their first album in 1990

Los Palominos have been around for over 35 years and have made a huge impact in Tejano music. Their first album was released in 1990, independently. The second album started a long relationship with Sony Discos that lasted 9 years and included their breakout album, "Corazon de Cristal."
