According to the post Flaco is currently in the hospital facing a medical hurdle—in good spirits but trying to get better. Rest assured, he’s in good hands and on the road to recovery.

Tejano Nation reports, Flaco Jiménez’s beloved accordion was recently added to the permanent collection at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, in December. This marks a significant milestone in the recognition of Jiménez’s contributions to both Tex-Mex and country music with his Hohner signature series accordion. The 85-year-old musician was also awarded the prestigious National Medal of Arts by President Joseph R. Biden in October.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, Flaco Jiménez is celebrated for his mastery of the accordion and his role in popularizing conjunto music, a genre that blends Mexican and Texan influences.
