
Legendary Tejano Saxophonist Jesse Peralez Passes Away
The Tejano industry has lost an iconic Saxophone player! Jess Peralez passed away this past Friday as announced by his publicist and and friend Mary Jane Segura.

While the cause of death has not been officially disclosed, Segura hinted that Peralez had been struggling with health issues in recent times. She shared a message of comfort, stating, “We know he is no longer in pain. God wanted him home earlier than what we expected. Jesse, we love you, and you will be greatly missed.”
He was known for his exceptional saxophone playing as an original member of La Mafia, one of the most iconic bands in the genre, and also played with other notable groups like Xelencia and Magnifico Siete. His passion for music was evident in every note he played, and his talent went far beyond just performing. Peralez was also a gifted songwriter, creating music that transcended the traditional Tejano sound, as reported by Tejano Nation.
This man was an INCREDIBLE musician and his legacy will live on in the Tejano industry!
