Monica Saldivar Drops New Cumbia ‘Pero Me Acuerdo De Tí’
Monica Saldivar continues to deliver top-notch Tejano music, and her latest release, "Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti," does just that. Her latest cumbia release pays homage to one of Monica Saldivar's inspirations, Christina Aguilera. It's also a remake of one of Christina's early Latin hits. Here is Monica giving us the back story.
@monicasaldivarmusic Ever since I was little, I've been a huge Christina Aguilera fan. When she released Mi Reflejo, her first Spanish album, it was so inspiring to see a pop artist embrace her roots and record music in Spanish. Along with Selena, she helped spark my love for Spanish music and inspired me to dream of one day doing the same. That's why recording my own cumbia version of "Pero Me Acuerdo de Ti" is such a special, full-circle moment for me. I can't wait for y'all to hear it this Friday. I hope my version honors the song, the artist who inspired me, and everyone who has supported me on this journey. ♥️🙏🏼 What is your favorite @Christina Aguilera ♬ Pero Me Acuerdo de Tí - Christina Aguilera
