Riverside Golf Course has been closed for some time with damage from Hurricane Harvey but, that situation may be resolved soon, allowing the city to open the course as soon as January.

According to a published report in the Victoria Advocate, at yesterday's Victoria City Council meeting councilors learned that crews are working to clear trees and get the irrigation system working. They say the course may be able to open, but a question remains about who will operate the golf course. Councilors decided not to hire a private company to run the course, based on the high cost of doing so. The city may remain operating the course but they want to see a business plan before making their decision.
