
Rudy Trevino Will Be Inducted to the Texas Radio Hall of Fame
Rudy Trevino has become an iconic voice in the Tejano music industry. His nationally syndicated countdown show had humble beginnings in 1996. The Tejano Gold Countdown now airs on over 100 radio stations throughout the United States and Mexico, including KLUB Tejano 106.9. TGC airs every Sunday at 8 a.m. with a replay at 5 p.m.
Rudy Trevino has won two Emmy awards.
Rudy Trevino has won two Emmy awards for his journalism efforts. His countdown show is coined the state's "Official Tejano Music Countdown" and has also been featured in the likes of Billboard and People magazines, as reported by Tejano Nation.
Rudy is a part of the 2025 Texas Radio Hall of Fame class.
Now, Rudy Trevino will be inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame with the 2025 class. An incredible accomplishment for a young boy who started in a small AM radio station right up the road in Beeville, Texas. Congratulations, Mr. Rudy Trevino, for being a cornerstone for not only the Tejano community but also for our Hispanic culture.
Tejano artists showcased weekly on "Domingo Live."
Not only can you catch Rudy's countdown on the radio, but he is also the host of the TV show "Domingo Live" based out of Corpus Christi, Texas. This program spotlights Tejano artists with live TV performances and airs on Sunday mornings. Check out a clip for Andrew Rodriguez Y Feroz performing on the show.
