Segways Are Coming to Riverside Park

Currently, Segways are something you see in the downtowns of big cities. Just a few weeks ago, my son and I spent a Sunday afternoon Segwaying down Shoreline Dr. in Corpus Christi.  We have also used Segways in Downtown San Antonio many times. I thought to myself, I would sure be cool if we had these in Victoria.  Well, apparently someone heard my thoughts.

SEGWAYS ARE COMING TO RIVERSIDE PARK:

Segways will be available for rent in Riverside Park by the end of May! Ashley from Flo Paddle Co confirmed this morning in an on-air interview.  The Ninebot Max(similar to the Bird Segways) will be the scooter that will be available for rent in Riverside Park.   You can get more information about the Ninebox Max and how you will be able to navigate your segway through Riverside park by calling Flo Paddle Co at 935-2618 or message them on their Facebook page. 

WHAT ELSE IS COMING TO RIVERSIDE PARK?

I remember chatting on-air about the train that used to be in Riverside Park and how awesome it was.  We jokingly started a movement to bring the train back to Riverside Park. Apparently, someone heard this too. Ashely also confirmed that she was already in the process of bringing a train back to Riverside Park. We could see this by the end of next year!  Check out the train she is working to get. btw that is Ashley's son in the picutre.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO IN RIVERSIDE PARK?

Just in case you didn't know, you can also rent kayaks and take a kayak ride down the Guadalupe River. You can also rent tubes and go tubing in the Guadalupe River right here in Victoria. You can also rent volleyballs, basketballs, and disk golf frisbees as well.

RIVERSIDE PARK IS ONE OF THE BEST CITY PARK IN THE STATE

Not only is Riverside Park a destination for disc golf, but it is also one of the best city parks in the State of Texas. As the re-imagining continues in our park, what's next? How about a food truck area? Anyone else? Well first, how about we complete the duck pond!
