Stacey’s Fitness Journey
It has officially been a week since signing my life away. Ok, that's an exaggeration, but it HAS been 7 days since starting a personal weight loss/fitness journey. I was introduced to the amazing team at Gold's Gym in Victoria (5201 N Navarro St) last Monday, and that's where it all starts. I scheduled a 3D body scan to get the ball rolling. I'm not going to lie or sugar coat it for you. Seeing yourself on a 3D scan is kind of a jolt. I mean, I knew I had "problem areas" but seeing myself on a computer screen really shined the light on what areas of my body that need extra attention and focus. The scan not only takes your weight, but in just 35 seconds it captures ALL your measurements; waist, hips, thighs, calves, neck and arms. The scan was able to pinpoint areas I need to focus on, it calculated exactly how many pounds of FAT I need to lose and it gave me a projected date my journey would be complete. It varies for each individual, depending on how often you plan on working out, and for me, I will be hitting my goals by the end of August. That is a 5 work outs a day commitment. If I decide to only go 3 days a week, then my date of completion turns into a November date.
Once all my measurements were in, the only thing left to do was GET BUSY! I enrolled in a BOOT CAMP that meets every week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
