As Stone Temple Pilots continue their first major tour with Jeff Gutt as lead vocalist, they've also been open to special guests. Their opening night show in Santa Clarita featured guest turns from Wayne Kramer and Johnny Depp, while Thursday's show (March 8) in Pasadena found Depp back in the fold along with Aerosmith's Joe Perry.

The Depp and Perry guest turns can be traced to Robert DeLeo, who played bass with Hollywood Vampires on tour after Duff McKagan had to return to Guns N' Roses. Depp was introduced first, adding his guitar skills to the STP song "Down." After the track, Depp stuck around through the finale, with fellow "Vampire" Joe Perry joining in for a cover of Aerosmith's "Toys in the Attic." The pair remained on the night's closer with Depp and Perry helping out on "Sex Type Thing." You can see fan-shot footage above and below of the guest appearances.

Fans in Tempe were likely on high alert last night (March 10) for another Hollywood Vampires guest turn with the possibility of Arizona resident Alice Cooper turning up, but the show went off with the lone guest being a kid from the audience singing on "Dead and Bloated."

It's a big week for Stone Temple Pilots, who are in the midst of their headline tour. The band's new self-titled album will be released this Friday (March 16). See the remaining dates on their tour here.
