Slow and steady, HBO’s Westworld has been confirming theories suggested by fans early on (give or take a shrink ray), seeming poised to answer even more questions by next week’s finale. The 90-minute “Bicameral Mind” will leave one major question for Season 2, but according to producers, will at least answer Season 1's big questions.

Considering the 1973 Westworld and the original Jurassic Park novel were both written by Michael Crichton, someone was bound to point out sci-fi theme parks run amok as a recurring theme. Thankfully, the internet never sleeps, and has now catered to the need for a helpful video pointing out the exact similarities between HBO’s Westworld and Jurassic Park.

Only three episodes in, and we’ve no shortage of Westworld fan theories to obsessively hunt down, Man in Black-style. Speaking of, star Jimmi Simpson is flattered by one time-turning theory in particular, but the circumstances of his casting might put another nail in that coffin.

About a dozen minutes into “Chestnut,” the second episode of Westworld, Ed Harris’ Man in Black rides up on a posse that’s bout to hang a man named Lawrence (Clifton Collins Jr.). Lawrence doesn’t recognize the Man in Black, but the Man in Black knows Lawrence; later he’ll joke that he even knows the tune he likes to whistle when he takes a piss. Only two episodes into this series, we’ve already seen Harris’ character do this a couple times; he approaches everyone with familiarity, something that probably shouldn’t be surprising if, as the Man in Black claims, he’s been coming to Westworld for 30 years and the park recycles the same day with the same stories and characters on an endless loop.

If you weren’t thoroughly convinced that Westworld was your new best friend, boy is HBO going to make sure you two kids play together until it sticks. Not only has a second episode been released online early, you can also take an early look at Issa Rae’s Insecure and Sarah Jessica Parker’s HBO return, Divorce.

In case it wasn’t clear by the $100 million investment, or ubiquitous promotion around every corner, HBO is banking on Westworld becoming a major hit in the vein of Game of Thrones. The promotional push certainly doesn’t end with the premiere, either, as you can experience the show’s hospitality for yourself with a new AI chatbot, and even catch the premiere free of charge.

The violent delights of HBO’s Westworld are nowhere near their violent ends after Sunday’s premiere, and things are definitely going to get worse for our “hosts” before they get better.
