The need for speed. That's what it's all about at the Texas Mile, specifically, how fast can you go in a one-mile straightaway?

It's coming back to Victoria Regional Airport Friday, March 22nd through Sunday, March 24th. It's a competition for top speed, and there have been some tremendous speeds reached in cars and motorcycles built just for the occasion. There are classes participants can enter in, Streel Legal, NOT Street Legal, and Exhibition Vehicle. Registration begins this Sunday, January 13th at 5:00 pm, and it fills up fast. To register and for more info, click here.

There has been some amazing vehicles and records set at the Texas Mile, in 2017 a Ford GT from M2K Motorsports hit 293.6 miles per hour, and last year, a Corvette racing to help sick children at Texas Children's Hospital set a record in its class of 244.92 miles per hour.

Whether you're someone that wants to go full out or, just a fan of racing, the Texas Mile at Victoria Regional Airport is pretty awesome.  Check out that record-setting run.
