Throwback Thursday: Roberto’s, Tejano Country, The West Key and More
That one is just one of the many Tejano hotspots from back in the 90s: Tejano Country, OK Corral, G-Town, Sun Valley, Riverside, Fuego, Bluebonnet, and many more. Who do you remember seeing perform in Victoria or your neck of the woods? Let us know in the Facebook comments of this status.
I personally felt like Albert Zamora Y Grupo Talento and Ruben Ramos frequented the Roberto's stage the most and jammed every single time. However, pretty much every big Tejano name made a stop at Roberto's back in the day. I also remember seeing a very young Joey JMZ Jimenez drumming for Xelencia on that stage too.
Here is another one for Throwback Thursday! That one time that Intocable performed at Roberto's Cocktails. Judging from the photo from the clipping, this show probably happened back in 1993 after the release of their 'Fuego Eterno' album. This is right before their popularity skyrocketed.
At the time their two biggest hits were 'Siguele' and 'Vete Ya.' Check out the clipping that just brings back that nostalgia. Look at that coming Saturday: Xelencia. The 90's Tejano scene was out of control in Victoria.
Of course, Intocable is now to bigger things, only performing at arenas and big outdoor concerts. For 2025, Intocable has only two Texas stops on their tour with one of them already happening. Intocable will perform in South Padre Island in April of 2025. They will be Headlining a show alss featuring Siggno, Secretto, and David Lee Garza. What an incredible lineup.
