Two Generations Come Together for Show in the Seadrift, Texas

La Fiebre is on fire right now. This past weekend they celebrated 40 years in Tejano music with Fiebre Fest and also a brand new single "Ayudame." Their new album "Raices" will drop very soon under the Freddie Records label.  La Fiebre will return to the Crossroads on Friday night, June 6th for Shrimpfest in Seadrift. Not only will the Tejano legends perform, it will also be the next generation of the Ybarra Boyz!

Back in February, KLUB Tejano was granted access to the Legendary Freddie Records. Also in the studio was Legendary Tejano group, La Fiebre, and they were putting the finishing touches on "Raices". La Fiebre is currently the longest running recording artist with Freddie Records.We hope to have them back in Victoria real soon.

The Next Generation of Conjunto Music: The Ybarra Boys

The Ybarra Boyz are one of the many young groups ushering in the next generation of Tejano and Conjunto music. Brother duo Abraham and Rogelio Ybarra, both born and raised in McAllen, Texas. Abraham Ybarra, 11, plays the bajo quinto and Rogelio Ybarra III, 14, plays the Accordion.

I think it is incredible that these youngsters are paying homage to Conjunto legends such as Ruben Naranjo and and Angel Flores. However, they have also release original material as well. Have you heard their high energy cumbia "El Mosquito?"
