Victoria Man Wins a Harley for Donating Blood

Giving the gift of life at the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center is one of our favorite causes here at KLUB Rock 106.9. The need for blood and other donations is constant, and that's why its such an important cause.

As an incentive, the SBTC gives away some pretty nice prizes and this summer, 2 Harley-Davidson Super Glides were given away, and one of them was won by a Victoria donor.

Congratulations to Mark Janak, the donor who was presented the keys to a new Harley this week. Mark donated twice over the summer, and that automatically got him into a drawing for the bike, winning out of 5,300 donors.

Janak is a regular donor to the SBTC, making what he calls "a small sacrifice that makes a big difference." He's absolutely right about that, it only takes a little time. As a matter of fact, here at the radio station, we're gearing up for our annual holiday blood drive, which takes place between Christmas and New Years.
