Victoria Woman Find Snake Slithering on Floorboard
Just yesterday, I wrote an article about snakes hiding everywhere in Texas, which was apparently setting the stage for one woman in Victoria. Victoria resident, Onica Valdez, found a surprise waiting for her in her car.
She posted the encounter on her personal Facebook on Wednesday, August 20, and included video she took.
"Is there a mechanic who can come help me take apart some of my car! This snake is hidden, and we can’t get to it! Animal control said it’s a king snake, but we can no longer find it up in the front!
If not, my car is going up in FLAMES!"
Burn the car!
The comments didn't really lead to any help, but they did lead to some fun anecdotes. The most common one was saying, "burn it." As of noon Thursday, August 21, the snake is still unaccounted for and assumed to continue making Valdez's car its home. There is a good chance that it could have slithered away already. However, one can never be too sure.
Victoria Animal Control was dispatched.
Victoria Animal Control was called out, but did not see anything. Valdez's sister, brother-in-law and neighbors also helped, but no luck. She still thinks it's somewhere under the dashboard.
Good luck, Onica! Someone also has a great sense of humor because when she woke up this morning, she was greeted by a toy snake on her windshield wiper.
Snakes like hiding in dark places, like your car's dashboard.
I don't mean to add any anxiety to the situation, but here is a TikTok video of a snake being pulled out from behind a dashboard.
