Victoria's Own Grupo Anaya Releases Catchy Cumbia 'Whataburger'

It's been a while since we heard the name Grupo Anaya! However, that has now changed. They have returned to the music scene with a very catchy new cumbia, "Whataburger." This cumbia sounds like one that can go viral on TikTok.

Grupo Anaya, previously with Freddie Records, took some time off from music to regroup and is now back as an independent artist. The new single is an original written by band member Mike Flores, who plays the bajo quinto and is on vocals. It was written in 2021.

The inspiration for the song "Whataburger" is simple, you're hungry after a gig!

I closed out the interview by asking Mike what his favorite thing to order at Whataburger? He say's a #2 all with way with cheese, whatasized! You can hear "Whataburger" trending now on KLUB Tejano 106.9.

Mike tells KLUB Tejano 106.9 that he has four other originals that will be coming out in the near future. At this time, Grupo Anaya does not have any shows scheduled; however, with the release of four more singles, there is chance of that changing. Welcome back to the music scene, Grupo Anaya!
