VIDEO: Trucks and Jeeps Join to Tow Semi-Truck on Icy TX FRWY
Here is a video Texans helping Texans in a Most Texan kind of way! In a video that was posted to the KHOU 11 News Houston Facebook page, you see a video that takes place on a Dallas Freeway! You see dozens and trucks and jeeps band together to tow a semi-truck that was stuck on the road because of the ice. What an awesome example of strangers helping strangers.
DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT TEXAS:
At this point, there have been 2 deaths related to the winter conditions in Texas. One of the deaths was caused by a pileup on an icy road. The other death was a 45-year-old man that was killed after his SUV slid into a guardrail in the Dallas area and continued to roll down the embankment. In the Austin area, officers started responding to a new crash every three minutes from 8 a.m. on, according to the Austin-Travis County Traffic Report Page.
While it was cold in the Crossroads area, we were located about 65 miles south of the wintry mix line.
HOW LONG WAS THE TEMPERATURE BELOW FREEZING IN FEB 2020?
