Back in September of 2021, Splashtown San Antonio closed forever! It was a sad day for my family; we always considered Splashtown the best waterpark in South Texas.
The crowds were always smaller, which meant you got on all the awesome slides without the wait. Also, admission was much lower than the big-name waterparks.

Cavender Auto Dealership sits where Splashtown once stood.

Today, that site is now home to a Cavender Auto Dealership. What a difference 4 years can make. It's like Splashtown never existed. I actually get sad driving by this area.

Splashtown closed in 2021

Splashtown San Antonio's final operating day was on September 12, 2021, after being open for 37 years. The last time I went to Splashtown was in the summer of 2021, so I got to experience this amazing waterpark for the final time, and I didn't even know it at the time.

Texas families have fond memories of Splashtown.

This TikTok brings back the memories of Splashtown and proves my point that it was the best waterpark in Texas. Small crowds, which means you basically walk on to any ride you want.

Thanks to TikTok we also have an overhead view of the land through 2025. What a difference.
