Whitesnake Guitarist Joel Hoekstra Salutes South Texas Teachers
There are plenty of well-deserved salutes to our educators going on all over the state this week as part of Teacher Appreciation Week.
Joel Hoekstra Rocks Tuloso-Midway Intermediate School in Corpus Christi
One thank you to our South Texas Teachers came from Whitesnake guitarist Joel Hoekstra, who took the time to appear on the Tuloso-Midway Intermediate School social media page this week to share his appreciation for our teachers and all they have done over the past year in a story shared by kristv.com.
Joel Hoekstra shreds a guitar solo and then praises educators like the ones in South Texas for all their hard work over the last year. The Tuloso-Midway Intermediate School PTA purchased the cameo appearance from Hoekstra as a way to kick off their teacher appreciation in a truly rockin' way. The teachers also received a special ticket and a special VIP access badge to highlight how special they are to the students and the community.
What is next for Whitesnake?
Earlier this year Whitesnake issued a new album for fans called the Blues Album. THE BLUES ALBUM is the final piece in the band’s Red, White, and Blues Trilogy, a series of compilations organized by musical themes that began this year with LOVE SONGS (red) and The ROCK Album (white).
While the band has tried to issue a few live dates here and there, like many bands they have had to reschedule shows as the landscape for live music has not been stable enough to really plan much without inevitably having to cancel or reschedule.
If you are jonesin' for some Whitesnake you can always crack open a cold one and enjoy some Whitesnake TV on the band's official website.
