The question remained for 41 days and Dallas Cowboys fans were left wondering if Ezekiel Elliott would end his holdout and join the team in time for the season opener this Sunday. That question was answered this week when the 2-time NFL rushing leader signed a deal worth $90 million over 6 years.

Elliott called the holdout 'super hard' as he missed all of training camp but returned to the team just in time for practice against the NY Giants for the season opener.

Elliott thanked his teammates for their support during his holdout, which will mean he'll be guaranteed $50 million in the deal, his $15 million a year average extension beats the L.A. Rams' Todd Gurley extension average of $14.4 million with $45 million guaranteed.

Dallas Cowboys football can be heard all season long on KIXS 108. The season begins this Sunday vs. the NY Giants. Pregame begins at 2:45 pm.
