The Victoria Generals were this close to advancing to the Texas Collegiate League Championship game yesterday, falling to the Texarkana Twins 4-3 in the 9th inning.

The Generals were down 4-2 in the 9th after a late-innings rally. They had runners on first and third with 2 outs with Jonathan Tapia at the plate. After a few tense pitches, Tapia hit a bloop fly to left which was caught to end the game.

The Generals finish the season with 36 wins, while the Texarkana Twins advance to the championship game with a 23-25 record. They'll face the Brazos Valley Bombers in College Station tonight.
