Duelo Involved in Bus Accident – Was Scheduled for SA Rodeo Tonight

Grupo Duelo had a big show in Monterrey last night and boarded the bus to head to their San Antonio Rodeo performance tonight.  Sometime overnight, their tour bus was involved in an accident en-route from Monterrey - Reynosa. Band members were taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention. A press release was shared to Duelo's Facebook page overnight. Our prayers are with the band at this time and wish them a full and speedy recovery.   

Grupo Duelo was scheduled to perform tonight for the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo. SA also issued a press release regarding tonight's show as has announced that La Mafia will feature their Estas Tocando Fuego 2024 Tour.

You Can Still Get the Legendary Lulu’s Cinnamon Roll in SA

I will file this under the 'foods that I miss' category. There is a good chance that many of you might have heard of Lulu's Bakery Cafe in San Antonio and for good reason. They became known for a couple of reasons: Their massive chicken fried steaks and their 3.5-pound cinnamon roll that was featured on many TV shows including Man versus Food. Sadly, the iconic Lulu's had to close its doors in March 2020, due to the COVID pandemic leaving many waiting to get just one more cinnamon roll.

You can still get this legendary San Antonio favorite thanks the son of Lulu, Mike Behrend because his mom’s famous 3-pound cinnamon rolls are now available at his other restaurant, Green Vegetarian Cuisine. You can now order your own by visiting their website.I was fortunate enough to have one of these cinnamon rolls before the restaurant closed its doors. It is absolutely amazing.
