Yesterday, the Latin Grammys announced the nominations for 2027, including three nominations for Grupo Frontera: Best Norteño Album, Best Regional Album, and Best Regional Song. What an incredible accomplishment for Grupo Frontera; they have come such a long way in four years.
In fact, Grupo Frontera performed in Victoria in October 2022 at the now-closed GOAT nightclub on Houston Highway. Their Victoria performance happened just one month after "No Se Va" went mega viral on TikTok in September 2022. While I wasn't at the show in Victoria, I was at their Rodeo Houston show in March 2025. It was incredible to see the same song at two different points in their career.

Intocable also has a Latin Grammy nominations for Best Regional song for "Estamos Todos" and puts them up against Grupo Frontrea in this category. Intocable has a rich history of performing in Victoria. Back in the 90s, they performed at the Sun Valley Ranch and Riverside Convention Center and if you take it way back, Roberto's Cocktails.  Grupo Duelo has also been nominated for best Norteno album.

¡Muchas felicidades! @grupointocable @mr.ricardomunoz@oficialmexicocanta ♬ sonido original - ConsejoMexicanoMusica

Did Anyone Watch These TV Shows in the 1980s and 1990s?

While you might think “watching while distracted” is a modern habit, even back in the day the TV was just… there, humming along while you did other things. These were the shows that weren’t exactly “must-see TV,” more like “might-see TV” — part of the culture, but you had to wonder: who was actually watching?
