Houston Astros Win 3 Out of 4 to Start Season Against Texas Rangers
The Houston Astros kicked off the Major League Baseball Season opening weekend by beating the Texas Rangers in 3 out of 4 games, capping the series off with an 8-2 victory yesterday.
The Astros bats were connecting and Gerrit Cole had a nice debut for the 'stros allowing only 2 hits. a triple in the 5th inning by Derek Fisher scored the tying run, and George Springer sent Fisher home with the go ahead run with a sacrifice fly. Carlos Correa got 2 RBIs with a 7th inning double, Jose Altuve had 3 hits while Evan Gattis had 3 hits and 3 RBIs, while Max Stassi hit a single that scored a run.
The Astros return home for their home opener against the Baltimore Orioles at 6:05pm, a game set to be broadcast on ESPN.
