Houston’s Powerhouse Conjunto Group, Impozzible, Announce Final Shows
Last night was very emotional for brothers Bobby and Lawrence Torres from Houston's Powerhouse Conjunto group, Impozzible. During a Facebook live video last night, the brothers revealed that Lawrence has been sick for over a year, and the illness is getting worse.
In the video, Lawrence said he has 15-20 lesions in his brain and that they will continue to spread, and, unfortunately, there is no cure. Our heartfelt prayers go out to Lawrence, to Bobby, and all of the Torres family, and, of course, the bandmates of Impozzible.
Impozzible will finish their current schedule.
After the sad news, Bobby made the announcement that Impozzible will no longer exist.
"There cannot be Impozzible if my brother is not there," Bobby said after discussing the group's future.
They will finish out their current schedule and are planning a huge finale Impozzible show that will include other Conjunto artists as well.
After a little time off, Bobby will continue making music on his own. And maybe we will get a surprise recording of Impozzible music with Lawrence. However, Lawrence does not have the strength to perform on stage. So any surprises will be studio-only music from Bobby and Lawrence.
In my opinion, Impozzible is one of the tightest Conjuntos out there. A clean, hard-hitting sound that you can feel in your body and soul. A live Impozzible show just hits different. Their last show in Victoria was at Breezy's in July of 2024.
¡Puro Conjunto! Puro Impozzible 4 Life!
