Isaac De Los Santos: From Victoria College to Tejano Roots Hall

It's always awesome to showcase our local Tejano talent in Victoria, and now Victoria College has joined the Tejano and Proud movement. Isaac De Los Santos has been featured as a Victoria College success story

De Los Santos attended Victoria ISD. After graduating high school, he served in the US Marine Corps. He then returned home and started classes at Victoria College in 2002.

De Los Sanos has dedicated forty years to the Tejano music industry.

De Los Santos was inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame in 2023 and has been a part of the Tejano/Conjunto industry for over 40 years. De Los Santos was born in Victoria in 1975 and became well known in the area for playing with Mariachi groups and found his way to Tejano music.

His musical journey includes Tremendos V, one of the most recognized Conjunto bands of all time, plusJimmy Lee Y Tentatzion, Grupo Rey, Invicto, Los Garcia Brothers, The Hometown Boys, Nick Villareal, and many more. De Los Santos also had the pleasure of jamming with the legendary Flaco Jimenez.

De Los Santos is dedicated to promoting the next generation of Conjunto music.

Isaac currently runs Conjunto Cartel Records, based out of Victoria and continues to work hard to make sure that Conjunto music continues to the next generation. Their latest find is an awesome Conjunto out of North Texas, Mo Y Su Conjunto.
