Video Captures Scary Moment as Ride Malfunction at Texas Carnival

A scary moment was captured at the Big El Paso over the Weekend. A video was posted to multiple social platforms and shows the moment the ride breaks. This video came from people on the ride. The name of the ride is called the Orbiter. You can hear the ride break followed by "We're going down."

KTSM reports that the ride malfunctioned with a hydraulic issue and the built-in safety features in the ride immediately stopped it, said Stephen White, the advertising and marketing manager for the Big El Paso Fair. Everyone got off the ride very safely. There was never anyone in danger at all,”  Will this keep you from getting on a carnival ride in the future?

HERE IS ANOTHER CARNIVAL INCIDENT IN TEXAS:

The ride was fine however the ride operator was not!  Reports started to come into the Waco Police Department on Saturday eventing about an 8 year-old-boy falling off of a carnival ride. The child had fallen from a carnival ride at the Extraco Events Center in Waco. Kolotv reports the boy was treated on the scene before he was taken to the hospital.

The ride operator, Cody Harkness, was arrested after police tested him and determined that he was under the influence. He has been charged with intoxicated assault while operating a ride, which is a third-degree felony. It is currently unclear what caused the child to fall off of the carnival ride. According to the article, it was determined that it was the result of the operator being impaired.
