Los Amigos ASG continues to evolve and adapt as Tejano music changes right before our eyes! This is something that is clear with the release of their latest release, "Deberia Ser Yo" which hits the KLUB Tejano rotation tomorrow. The release also marks a new chapter for Los Amigos ASG with the announcement of a new lead singer, Michael Anthony!

Michael has fond memories of Victoria.

Not only does Michael Anthony have an incredible history in the industry. He also has ties to the Victoria area. During a recent interview in the KLUB Tejano 106.9 studio. He reminisces about shows at Roberto's Cocktails and the Sun Valley Ranch. He also adds a guilty pleasure, which is Casa Ole Chile con Queso.

His early career had him on tour with pop icons.

Michael's musical resume is incredible! During his early career, he toured with the magical "Pepsi tour." This had him opening for names such as Menudo, New Kids on the Block, Timmy T, and many more.

Michael found his Tejano groove!

In the nineties, his focus shifted to the Tejano genre, and he was the lead singer of a group called Project 6. This is when he had his first hit, "Voviste a Mi," which was later covered by Intocable. He has toured with many groups, including Fama, Elida, Los Palominos, and La Mafia, just to name a few. We are excited to see where his new journey will take Los Amigos ASG.

Los Amigos are a family affair!

Los Amigos is the definition of a family affair. The group was founded in 1979 by Albert Garcia Sr. In 2008, Los Amigos ASG (Amigos Segunda Generación) was created after a visit to Q Zone in Corpus Christi! The name was actually selected by Mr. Abraham Quintanilla, the father of the late Selena. ASG continues under the musical direction of Phillip Garcia, son of Albert.
